Tractor Driver

Tractor Drivers are an integral part of guests’ experience on the farm. Equipment operators control and drive equipment used for our Tractor rides. These positions require advanced safety training to meet DOV specific safety requirements and will be granted access to equipment after successfully completing a driving test. High attention to detail is also imperative in reporting malfunctions or other equipment-related issues. We are looking for individuals who are family-friendly, can give customer service with a smile, and be able to assist us in creating memories that last a lifetime.

Tractor Driver (Must be 18 years of age or older): The priority of a tractor driver is to operate our Tractor Ride and ensure guest and employee safety and positive interactions. This person will operate a tractor and trailer ride which will transport guests and along a specific route around the farm. You must work as a team to coordinate hayride rotations out to U-Pick areas. You will also assist the hayride greeter as needed in safely onboarding and offboarding guests. Light inspection of the tractor and trailer is required and reporting any problems to either the Farm Mechanic or Owner. This position requires you to be 18 years of age or older with experience operating farm equipment. This position will be given with first priority to returning staff and will open up to the new employees if openings exist.
Hayride Greeters: Hayride Greeters will be stationed at the Tractor ride loading area, and the pumpkin patch, if applicable. You will be responsible for positive guest interactions and guest safety. Guests will line up in a load out area and you will be responsible for counting the appropriate number of guests to fit on a hayride to maximize safety and to move the greatest number of people at one time. Before the hayride takes off you will mount the hayride and give a safety talk to everyone on board, give a brief overview of the attractions which are coming ahead, and wave as the hayride departs. This position will be working out in the open in the elements, either standing on concrete, gravel or grass. Awnings and sun-blocking umbrellas are provided for you to have shelter. You will also assist in the cleanliness and sanitization of the hayride trailer.
