About the Role
Working at our Orchard Cafe includes food preparation, but most importantly helping guests by taking orders and serving food. You must be prepared to help serve guests, maintain a clean work environment, and be responsible for following our steps for consistency and food safety protocols/regulations at all times. This area within the orchard is one of the busiest, so efficiency is essential. We are looking for individuals who are family-friendly, can give customer service with a smile, and be able to assist us in creating memories that last a lifetime.
FOOD SERVICE JOBS OVERVIEWS
Cook / Fryer / Pizza Oven Operator (Must be 18 years of age or older): Being a cook involves being prepared for and anticipating feeding hungry guests. Cooks may be assigned to working fryers, stove, roasters, and pizza ovens. Must wear closed-toed shoes, dress for the weather, be prepared to help guests and maintain a clean and safe food location. Must be able to stand on your feet for periods of time.
Cashier: As a cashier in a food location, it is important to become familiar with the menu items as you sell food and drinks on an POS register. You will be taking orders and inputting them, receiving an order ticket that will be given to the food runner to use to fulfill the order, and you will be responsible for getting the order’s drinks while the rest of the order is being assembled. It is important to read the order back to the guest to ensure accuracy. Though you may assist with other , it is important to always remain in-sight of your cash register and complete cashier training.
This position will also wash all dishes for the food venue they are assigned to in a 3-bay sink. You must be able to lift over 10 pounds, must be able to stand for periods of time, and be able to bend / stoop during work hours.
