Please join us in welcoming Omaha composer and sound artist Stacey Barelos for a unique evening of creative listening, collaborative sound-making, and playful group exploration at Ditmars Orchard!
Through a series of guided activities, participants will explore sound, listening, creativity, and interaction in a relaxed and welcoming environment inspired by the orchard setting itself. The workshop is designed for adults of all backgrounds and emphasizes curiosity, connection, and shared experience rather than musical skill or performance.
No musical experience is necessary — just a willingness to listen, explore, and create together.
Dr. Stacey Barelos is an Omaha-based composer, pianist, sound artist, and educator whose work explores listening, creativity, improvisation, and experimental performance. She is the founder and director of Soundry, an Omaha experimental music series focused on participatory sound experiences and creative collaboration.
